Südhafen is the core of the scheduled and operative reloading and storage of cargo. The extensive rail network and the associated covered and outdoor storage areas guarantee a high degree of flexibility. High capacity reloading equipment, such as a wagon tipping facility and truck loading facility allow for greater speed of reloading.
Reloading facilities:

- various excavators (hoisting capacity up to 5 t with clamshell buckets, orange peel grapples and log grips)
- 2 wagon bulk-head tipping facilities for loading barges
- covered truck unloading chute
- 2 wheel loaders with up to 4.5 m² loading volume
